Education System in Sweden
The Swedish higher education system differentiates between university and university college . The universities are research-oriented and may award bachelor’s, master’s, and doctor’s degrees in all academic fields, whereas the university college, usually are more focused on applied sciences, and only have limited rights granting doctor’s degrees. Note, however, that some universities still call themselves in Swedish, mainly older specialised institutions in engineering and medicine.

Scholarships
You can get a scholarship to go study in Sweden.
Until recently, all students could study tuition-free in Sweden. A number of scholarships are available to compensate for this change, providing financial waivers for international students. These can be divided into two subsets: government scholarships and university scholarships, including the following:
Government Scholarships
The Swedish Institute Study Scholarships: Undergraduate and graduate students can apply for one of approximately 120 scholarships which provide funding for cost of living and tuition. The scholarship is awarded to outstanding international students in a variety of academic disciplines.
Erasmus Mundus Scholarships: A program of the EU’s Erasmus Mundus Program, which is focused on expanding international educational opportunities in Europe to international scholarships, these scholarships cover tuition, living costs, and traveling expenses for accepted students. Ten Swedish university participate in this program, offering a combined 30 scholarships.
